Follow the progress of my latest project.Lazy Hill
I am currently working on decorating my first apartment in England..... follow the transformation... from blank canvas to dream space. Photos coming soon......
The bones... it is rented so what I can do without angering the land lord it is limited. Sometimes, the best projects come from a limited brief, as it forces you to be creative in other ways. I am having a field day, painting huge canvas's inspired by my travels to brighten my dull walls.
Two bedrooms: bedroom one- the master room. Current situation.... magnolia (cream) walls with matching cream curtains!!! I hate! I dont want my walls to blend into my curtains. Give me fresh bright white anyday!
Bedroom two: my very own walk in closet, that will double as a mini office. The importance of a walk in closet- clothes need space to breath, and allow you to see what you have. Living room: Magnolia with navy curtains (which I quickly put into bedroom number two, As I want my living area to be full of light and brightness. Kitchen/diner: yellow walls and dark green cuboards. Bathroom: white and blue tiles
The green kitchen
The brief, picking out a new kitchen for an extension. The kitchen units were all white, and another colour was needed. The choices were down to red or green. i offered my reccomendation of green... it's an olive green. You can probably guess from the above paintings, especially made for the new kitchen that green kicked red's butt.
The kitchen has a great view of the garden, and I have an obsession of bringing the outside in. The windows perfectly frame the green of the garden. You dont get a betteer opportunity than making a room appear bigger by reflecting this in the decoration.
The kitchen guy said it was his first green kitchen he has sold.

Lindsworth school Graffiti project Part 1
Dennis the Mennace spray can and friends...
I really enjoyed the challenge of this brief as I had not previously done graffiti myself. This was a really fun project that the pupils could relate to. For this project we looked at videos of graffiti batles, and watched graffiti artists working in their black books.

A space themed room for a new baby boy
This piece was done as a gift for the birth of a little boy. It has his initial and date of birth on the front of the rocket. The little boy is now three, and has his own bedroom, proudly displaying his space painting. He is a huge Ben 10 fan and Buzz Light Year so the space theme of his bedroom all ties in nicely through his birth gift.

Somewhere over the Rainbow..... there's a land that I dreamed of...
The brief for this bedroom, was fun and colour. We wanted to create a sense of movement and play, and encourage interaction for the murals on the walls. It was based on fairy tails, songs and imagination. This is the original sketch for the 'somewhere over the rainbow' wall design.

Father and son painting Project
This is a Project I did with Dove. Who is a really keen artist, and proud owner of his own art blog. The blinds rarely get pulled down, so we decided it would be a great idea to paint the street view from across the street onto the blinds. Dove thought it was a great idea as people would think that they were still open! We had great fun with this enormous project, that was still incomplete on my last return to england! Dove decided to enlist the help of his dad.
